HomeSpruce Independent Contractor Code of Conduct Agreement
This HomeSpruce Independent Contractor Code of Conduct Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is entered into between HomeSpruce (hereinafter referred to as "Company") and the independent contractors (hereinafter referred to as "Contractors") who provide their services through the HomeSpruce platform.
1. Purpose
This Agreement outlines the standards of behavior, ethics, and professionalism expected from Contractors while using the HomeSpruce platform. It is essential to maintain a high level of integrity, quality, and trust to ensure the satisfaction of our customers and the continued success of HomeSpruce.
2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Contractors must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations while performing services through the HomeSpruce platform. This includes but is not limited to licensing, insurance, and safety requirements.
3. Professionalism
Contractors are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. This includes being punctual, respectful, and courteous towards customers, fellow Contractors, and HomeSpruce staff.
4. Quality of Work
Contractors must consistently provide high-quality workmanship and services. Any work performed must meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Contractors should strive for excellence in all tasks.
5. Communication
Effective communication is vital. Contractors should promptly respond to customer inquiries, service requests, and communication from HomeSpruce. Timely and clear communication is key to ensuring a positive customer experience.
6. Safety
Safety is a top priority. Contractors must prioritize the safety of themselves, customers, and any other individuals present while performing services. Safety protocols, protective equipment, and safe work practices must be adhered to at all times.
7. Confidentiality
Contractors may have access to sensitive customer information. Contractors are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all customer data, including personal information, service details, and any proprietary information obtained during service provision.
8. Respect for Property
Contractors must treat customers' property with the utmost respect. This includes taking care not to damage or misuse any property, belongings, or assets of the customer.
9. Fair Pricing
Contractors are responsible for setting fair and transparent pricing for their services. Price gouging, deceptive pricing practices, or any unethical pricing behavior is strictly prohibited.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of disputes with customers or other Contractors, Contractors are encouraged to seek amicable resolutions. HomeSpruce may provide mediation services if necessary.
11. Compliance with HomeSpruce Policies
Contractors must adhere to all HomeSpruce policies, including those related to payments, scheduling, and any other guidelines set forth by HomeSpruce.
12. Termination
HomeSpruce reserves the right to terminate the agreement with any Contractor who repeatedly violates this Code of Conduct or engages in any behavior that is detrimental to HomeSpruce or its customers.
13. Acknowledgment
By continuing to use the HomeSpruce platform, Contractors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this Code of Conduct Agreement. This Agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of the Contractor's engagement with HomeSpruce and may be updated by HomeSpruce at its discretion. Contractors are responsible for regularly reviewing this Agreement for any changes.
